Default YAY! I got the engine out!

Well. I tried white n slows method of the breaker bar for the pesky axle nut. Although I was stupid about it. It wouldn't budge from me standing on it. So I kinda wrapped my self around it and hung on it and it popped loose and I fell. 30 minutes later the engine was out! Now just gotta wire up the new engine and plop that sucker in!

Well, it's 12:40, and it doesn't get dark till 7:30ish. I'll get it hooked all up tonight most likely. Axles and fluids tomorrow.

Hey great work. Let me ask you. Judging from your postings, you're probably not a mechanic but a reasonably good DIY'er like some us. Have you ever removed an engine before? Do you just normally do basic maintenance on your car like oil/brakes/fluids etc? I'm just trying to guage myself. When my engine quits on me, I'd sure love to change it out myself too.

Nope. Never removed an engine. I helped on an old s-10 but thats it. It's pretty simple. Just do quite a bit of research. Then go from there. Just disconnect everything holding the engine in and yank that bitch out.

That's cool. Well, now I know I can do it with all the right tools etc. I'll probably leave the exhaust to Midas. Not sure what I'll get though. I'm not looking for a big increase in horses and I'm not looking to juice it up beyond it's own stock performance. I'll probably just go for B16A.

B16. I'm just waitin for a reply on the whole harness thing. My swap came with an intact harness, except at the fire wall the wires are cut, then I got my 1.5l harness. I don't know which one I should use.
