Default power window 99 civic EX

Hi all,
new guy here...been reading forum, but registered now cause i need some help...never registered before cause i never figured i could really help anyone out..
anyhow..
cd player stolen from car via smashed window
ins/shop repair all but cd player install
go to install cd player and put down windows for more light (they are tinted)
1st off, cd player did not power up...not my major problem (it gets power)
2nd, passenger door window will not go up, big problem
the driver door window worked fine
I have tested and am getting 12V to the green wire at the switch
and to the wire going to the motor (blue/white) when the switch is engaged
does this mean my motor is shot?
would it just happen out of the blue?
Thanks mucho

is one of the wires coming from the motor to the switch
a ground?
I thought they were both for power...one up, one down

a better question...
where / how is the motor grounded?

thanks

You were exactly right
got the window up!

the switch works IF I ground one of the wires that go directly into the MOTOR

Does this mean the child safety switch is bad?

What is my next step?
Thanks

Anyone help out on this?

The window only works if I manually ground it.

What does this mean?
