Default Weird sound coming from engine bay?

I have a 99 Civic Ex with 95,xxx miles. When the car is on there is a weird sound coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. It is kind of like a wining sound or like something needs to be oiled. It seems like it is coming from one of the belts/pulleys because the sound goes with the pulley turning. What do you think it could be? If there is anything I left out please let me know and I will post it.

TIA,
David

Yea thats what I am thinking. I still have A/C and Power steering. My dad says it could be the alternator(sp?) It only does it when the car is sitting that I know of, I am not sure if it is doing it when I am driving. I can hear it when I am sitting in the car. The sound is like if a wheel was bent, you would hear it when it goes to the spot that is bent. I know that is not the best description that is the only thing I could think off. Let me know if you need more info.

Is your cars temp normal? If so that may rule out the water pulley.

You can remove all belt's and see if noise stay. This might give you an idea.
Also, while belts are off check bearings cap. Last weekend I found out that A/C tention pulley bearing is basically worn out.

I had a funny noise and took one belt off at a time. I removed the belt for AC and it went away. Unfortunately, I still don't know if it was the tension pulley or AC compressor. To put the belt back on, I have to remove the engine mount. I think I'll go to a junkyard and get a newer pulley and see what happens.

I paid $39.00 + tax for a new at dealership. Kit included pulley with bearing and set of washers. Some how there weren't such washers on my car when I took original pulley off. My old pulley bearing didn't have grease (dried out) and it sounded bad when I spin it on my finger. I wouldn't recommend you to save $20.00 with junk yard.
