Weird sound coming from engine bay?
I have a 99 Civic Ex with 95,xxx miles. When the car is on there is a weird sound coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. It is kind of like a wining sound or like something needs to be oiled. It seems like it is coming from one of the belts/pulleys because the sound goes with the pulley turning. What do you think it could be? If there is anything I left out please let me know and I will post it.
TIA,
David

What would that do? I think I have done that and there is no noise, Its only when the car is on.
I had a funny noise and took one belt off at a time. I removed the belt for AC and it went away. Unfortunately, I still don't know if it was the tension pulley or AC compressor.
To put the belt back on, I have to remove the engine mount.
I think I'll go to a junkyard and get a newer pulley and see what happens.
