i know people take turbos from the eclipses all the time, does the manifold fit the same? What year do i need to pull from??

 

no it doesnt

you can take the turbo, but you need a a D series turbo manifold that fits the turbo for it to work

You can adapt a VX/CX manifold to fit a turbo (instead of a catalytic converter). You need to make or buy a steel adapter plate and plug up the 02 bung.

DSM manifolds would have a difficult time fitting. One of their exhaust ports is as big as three D-series exhaust ports. I can take pics of both tomorrow if you want. I have one of each out in my shed.

 

^ weir racing makes adapter plates and so does BMCrace. the std manidold is the most commonly used

 

I threw some photos in the tech forum of the manifolds for you. I may follow it up with comparisons of the heads that these cars came off of.
