centering rings

Default centering rings

hey,

after getting my car aligned at honda, they said i should buy some centering rins for my slipstreams... does anyone know more about this? does anyone else have these? are they really necessary?

they are hubcentric rings...they are like 15 bucks at discount tire....get them

Smart people use them...You want to be smart, dont you?
It keeps the wheel centered on the hub, and aids in not only wheel balance but also in the weight distribution (so the car isnt resting on just the lug studs)

It depends on the particular slipstreams you are running. Some slipstreams were hubcentric for civics and do not require the rings. Some were not hubcentric for civics and, also, do not require the rings - but they are recommended if you experience the steering wheel shaking at highway speeds.

You do not need hubcentric rings because these wheels are hubcentric to Civics :thumbup:

ok, the ones i selected from the website say ET45 CB56. however, i just looked at my receipt and all it says is ET45, is there a difference? do i still not need a hub centric ring?

You should never center the wheel on the hub using your lugs. You might/will get a vibration when driving if you don't use them. I found my hubcentric rings off Ebay. They are machined aluminum and fit perfectly in my Kosei K1s and Enkie RPF1s
