Default whistle goes the cheap intake

i have a feeling im gonna get :slap: for askin this. ok ive cleaned out the tb and the pcv and now when im accelerating my $42 intake whistles i remember reading a thread on this it seemed as tho they were making jokes about someone asking this but i couldnt find it again. i think they said an aem intake may whistle but what does it mean when my cheap intake is whistling???

That's normal.

The stock intake doesn't whistle because of the resonators on it which muffle/cancel the sound.

AEM whistles also.

Short rams in particular are loud because they are closer to you.

For some weird reason, civics tend to be the loudest. You can just tell when a civic is next to you and has a filter on a stick (brand doesn't matter) because of the whistling that it makes. Could be just me, but that's common where I'm at. h:

good, cuz i just bought a civic (still with oem intake), and it whistles like some mclaren f1, or enzo :lol

no, at a certain throttle position it seems to have a high pitched whistling sound.. i noticed it on all of my hondas except the sol cuz it was boosted.

my civic used to do that same shit, i used to make it whistle like that when around ricers to make them think i have a turbo, they always asked me what turbo i was running. funny shite
