What do you consider hard and what do you consider easy? It really isn't that too bad... if you have never done it before, I would set aside an afternoon for sure for it...
Go here: http://www.honda.co.uk/owner/CivicManual/index.html
On the menu bar, click on Driveshafts and then the appropriete link and you can see how hard it will be.

I've done it a couple times. It really isn't that hard, as long as your suspension bolts are forgiving.
I have a compressor with impact, air ratchets, etc. at my house so that makes it a lot easier to work on suspension.
You'll prolly need some special tools (32/36mm socket for axle nut, ball joint remover, etc.) but it's nothing impossible.

the whole thing is the easiest. you are going to have to remove the lower ball joint, i really suggest you get a ball joint splitter bec you could damage the boot without one. also, you need to pry the cv joint from the transmission side out with a big screwdriver and be very careful that you dont damage the seal inside the tranny casing. if you do this your tranny will leak. If you dont already have one I highly recommend a Helms manual.
