Hey I really have no experience with this but I was driving in normal traffic today for about 30 minutes, no problem. Get back to work I back in to a parking spot and the thmp gauge is at the redline. I turned the car off and hoped it would go away. Four hours later I started on my way home and boom right back at the redline. I stopped at a gas station and checked teh oil it was really low (I put in 4 quarts of 5w/30) and everything was back to normal. I drove for about a 40 minutes (approx 40 miles) and when I got home, i backed into the garage and again the temp gauge went crazy. No oil or antifreeze leaks. So I don't know what to do.... any help would really help me, thanks!!

 

coolant temp sensor,new radiator cap,or new thermostat.....all cheap parts
