i have a b16a3 with itr internals with skunk2 cam gears set at 0 degrees now and have an itr intake manifold.

my idle is so weird. sometimes it be at 2500, 1500, 1200, and bakk down to normal at 700-800 give or take. it use to jump up and down, til i change out the fast idle solenoid then it stop.

the second time i change it the idle went down to 700-800 for a while then it went bakk up.

i change it again for the third time and same results. atleast it doesnt jump up and down.

i check my coolant and i dont have any bubbles or what not. i bypass my coolant that ran thru the tb. i even tried adjustin the idle screw, to no avail.

another fact is that durin hot days, it idles fine (7-800) cold days it be high 1200- and up to 2500. but still either hot or cold it still sometimes idles high.

so the tech guys, any ideas?

Did you bypass the coolant trying to get your motor to run better, or was that a previous mod?

I think that maybe you have a vacuum leak somewhere. If your idle dips then jumps and dips, etc I'm pretty sure you got a vacuum leak. Check all the vacuum connections to your IM.

Route coolant back through your tb and check for vacuum leaks. You said you had a different manifold, did you replace the gasket? Check around where the manifold meets the head for vacuum leaks.

werd, ill check for the leaks. someone also mention that my tb gasket could have a leak, so can that also be a candidate for the weird idle. i bypass the coolant so that the tb stays cold, only reason y coolant runs thru there cuz honda doesnt want the tb plate to freeze durin winters. thats rarely gonna happen here. but ill check for the leaks.
