Default clutch stuff

well i got my civic ex on saterday last week, and was my first week with stick shift, i think i burned the clutch a bit cause a really bad smell came in. the clutch engages near the top of the pedal lift... so auto zone says i may need a new one... now my question is..

1) should i get another stock clutch or stage 1 clutch..? at autozone the stock clutch is about 130... dunno bout the stage 1 clutch...
2) if i get stage 1 clutch can it go on the stock fly wheel? or do i have to get another one?
3) does the engine have to be removed to put the clutch in or can u just remove the tranny?

thanks for your help

If you're still learning to drive a manual tranny, anything other than a stock clutch is going to make every single stop light miserable for you, your starter, and your battery... oh, and the people behind you (except the ones who laugh).
