Default Omnipower coilovers: Need help!

Alright, so ive got everything off and ready for the coilovers to be put on. It says i need to preload the springs, all i did was loosen the top 19mm nut. is that it?

now, my big problem is measuring the drop. I want to drop my car about 1.75", but where do i start to measure? do i make the entire coilover, from top to bottom, the same length as my stock spring/shock and then twist it so its 1.75" shorter? im confused. someone let me know. thanks in advance!

To preload the spring you loosen the top 19mm nut before you put it on the car, install the coilover, then lower the jack back down to the ground. Once the car is on the ground again, tighten the nut. Then you can go back and adjust the height of the coilover.

I found that the emphasis on the 'preload' was a bit exaggerated...

It just gives a little softer ride, does nothing for performance.

Right, the idea behind the preload is to prevent the spring from slopping around when your wheel is @fully extended.

alright. i ran into another problem. on the rear coilovers, the very bottom part of it, the 2 prongs... well on my stock shocks, on one of those prongs, it had a but welded to it, so the bolt had somethign to grab onto. well, the omnipower coilover doesnt have a nut welded on either prong. what do i do?

I did not say that it was for performance, however if you read the instructions, there is too much emphassis on pre-load.

Great suspension none the less.
