What does this mean??
so you have a jdm b16a3?
if he said milled, he probably meant the head. you can have the head milled at a machine shop. im not exactly sure how it works or what it does but im sure it has something to do with making more power. i think it has something to do with compression increasing, but i dont know for sure.

a milled head, means there was material removed from the mating surface between the head and block, which in turns raises compression.
It's done either to increase performance or if you warped your head milling it gets it flat so it will mate to the block again.

i had a lagg in my car and it would idle weird. it would go up and down, up and down. then i got my diagnostic and he told me that my motor had advanced timing and returned it to stock and thats when he told me that my head was prob milled.then he told me that my distributor might be bad so i need to change it. he didnt fix the lagg in my car. i went home and noticed that my throttle body screw adjuster was missing so i went to the junkyard and bought the missing screw. i still had the lagg and idle problem on my car. i bought a distributor but they gave me the wrong one. so i just changed my plugs and wires and i noticed a big improvement in my performance.my car doesnt idle weird anymore and it doesnt have the lagg anymore. i have store credit on my distributor so im going to get my head ported and polished for $325. so i just needed to know why this guy told me that my head was milled, and if it is safe to get my head ported and polished. these guys are from HOOK-UPS IMPORT TECH and they were trying to get me to spend a lot more money then i should, and they are suppose to be the shit in southern cali but they try to rip you off, and dont fix your problem.
Then dont go back, Milled means exactily what Relic1 said, they (mill) or Shave a small amount of metal off of the mating surface where the head meets the block. Normaly when they do this they install a thicker headgasket to compensate for the missing metal, and if you use an OEM gasket it will give you higher compression. Depending on what you want. If I were you I would just leave the head alone, and use that 325 on replacing the water pump and timing belt.
^^ hes probably right about the water pump and timeing belt but to answer your question the head being milled wont make squat worth of diffrence as far as porting and polishing is conserned altho i would check to see if it has already been done seeing as the head has been milled. most of the time when a motor head has work done to the head you get it all done at once.
