Default B18C Rebuild?

i have someone locally who is willing to sell me their b18c1 for a very good price but it has 100.000 miles on it. do you think its worth buying and having someone do a complete rebuild or should i try to fin a lower mileage engine. i also dont know quite how much this rebuild would cost but for the engine LSD tranny and ecu he wants 1200 buck so if the rebuild is less then 2K its still worth it. is it worth it or should i find a lower mileage JDM motor?

Do you want to just rebuild it with OEM internals or do you want to go with more? If you want to go aftermarket, what are your goals and plans for the engine (FI/NA)?

Well, those are the kinds of things you need to plan for when rebuilding. If you are going to boost it, then you will want to put the appropriate internals in there now. No point in going in there and just slapping various parts on without much of a plan. Figure out what you want to do and what your budget will allow and then build for it.

If your going to rebuild it, it really dosen't matter how many miles it has on it, as long as it runs & isn't cracked in half!!
