Default Upgrade from stock suspension .. 93 HB ...

So, it's time to replace the shocks and struts on 93 Civc HB. Any bump feels like it's gonna rattle my car apart!

It's going to happen anyway so I suppose I'd like to upgrade past stock.

What combo should I be looking for if i'd like to keep a comfortable ride while obtaining alittle increase in performance? I'm not too worried about lowering and in fact I wouldn't want to lower too much at all.

My future plans involve an engine swap when the current setup eventually goes. Better exhaust, strut bars, brake upgrades, better wheels and tires ... etc. Nothing crazy though ... just something to add alittle fun.

So, what should I think about getting as far as suspension goes?

there are a few springs out there that offer a nice ride and nominal increase in performance (H&R OE sport, Eibach pro-kit, etc), but you'll have a hard time finding something that wont lower your car any. These springs lower a little over an inch, I think.

As for shocks, depending on your budget Tokico Illuminas, kyb agx's and koni yellows are all a good value... judging by your goals, the koni's may be overkill, however.

Good luck.

Well, the lowering isn't too much of a problem I suppose as long as it was only in the inch to 1.5 inch range.

I was checking out those shocks and I do see they are adjustable. Meaning i'd be able to adjust for daily to agressive driving while they are on the car?
