Default Bov?????

hey guys, i'm gonna get my GReddy turbo kit sometime next week and i need to know what kind of blow off valve should i get and which is a good one. Also how many psi should i be running. By the way, its for my 00 civic ex. thanks

if your motor is stock, i suggest 6 or 7lbs. and for the BOV, the kit should have one, if not, you can pick any. they are all pretty much the same.

sorry, but isnt compressor surge a bad thing? exhaust gas slapping the turbine in the reverse direction ? my friend has the HKS SSBOV on his 88 supra. really loud whistle. i like it a lot.

I've only heard one whistle. The other ones alll do that chhh chhh chhh chhh thing. Maybe someone should call up HKS and see what it's supposed to sound like?

well, i guess it isnt so much bad, but it wears out the turbine quicker(more friction) thats why the whistle BOV's are supposed to be better for the setup. problem is, in some states, they are illegal b/c they are an unfiltered release of gas.
