Best muffler for sound purposes, little performance
My car is a D16Z6 Civic EG. As of right now I have a 3inch duck of a muffler on the back made by 3A Racing. It sounds horrible inside and out. I wanted to get something with a deep sounding tone, not something that sounds like Im trying to racing everytime I go over 3000rpm. I was thinking either a Magnaflow or a Flowmaster. Will not having a cat converter make any muffler loud anyways? Suggestions and pics of your own muffler would be greatly appreciated.

That muffler probably bottlenecks flow more than anything else. It probably sounds like shit too. My experience with mufflers is to go with a straight through perforated core of 3 inches in width. Try to find something like that and it should sound much better and will improve exhaust flow.

I've owned a universal muffler, axle back, and I just put my catback on. All sound low because there not ther "fire ball" can. If you want a low sound stay away from anything that says "fire ball".
