my friend was messing with the cigarette lighter trying to get something to work by moving it around and broke the socket or something cuz now it doesnt work... how should i get this fixed?

 

Does the little light turn on? If not, the harness must've come undone, just take off the center console ( a couple screws ) and plug it back in. If the light still lights, then he may have broke loose some wires, just secure them back in the harness as needed.

 

and if that doesnt fix it, goto a local junk yard and but the whole assembly. Probably like 5 dollars.

 

wal-mart sells them right near the car light section. whole assembly ready to put in for about $5...give or take

 

the fuse was blown, replaced it and everything lights right up
