Default Turbo Kit

Im looking at purchasing a Drag Turbo kit. They seem to be very complete for the price. i think $2995 and it comes with everything down to a fuel pump. If anyone's had or heard of someone using one, id like some advice.

Im putting a B16A2 into it. Besides the FMU, is it a decent kit? And on Ebay, there is a seller "www.ssautochrome.com" is is ID. He has a kit that comes with an intercooler, t3/t4 turbo, lightweight pulleys, and adjustable camgears, and charge piping. It has the basic fittings and clamps, but no oil returns. the price is 999.00. i was looking into getting that, but then again, no idea about his setups and if they are reliable

if it's goin for that price, then i'd go for it & just concider it your starting point! You WILL be upgrading parts from that kit i'm sure, but as long as you keep the oil flowing through the turbo you should be fine. just keep the starter kit mentality with u & plan on upgrading things...

it will be a lot cheaper if you build your own kit. piece it together one by one and you will notice it saving a lot of money in the end. you will always come across people that have things for really cheap and good quality. thats what i did for my friends D16Z6 single cam and its going great, im almost done. ssautochrome has a bunch of shit on ebay for pretty cheap, but reliable is the question. i go with parts i know and are familiar with how they work. check out homemadeturbo.com and turbod16.com...i know its for single cams, but they have a lot of intercoolers and injectors and stuff that will go on any car. good luck with your search.

I think for 999 it is definetly a great starting point.

i've seen pics of the compressor housing of an ssautochrome turbo completely break in two. that would totally suck if it were on the engine at the time it broke. :eek3:
