Default $800 for a B16a2, would you do it?

My buddy has had a B16a2 in his garage for a little over a year now. The garage is not heated, or completely sealed off to be safe from moisture. It has been sitting on a tire and hasnt been moved or worked on. I am interested in buying this engine from him but im not sure if it will be worth it considering the condition it may be in. What would I need to do before I swapped it in to insure it would run and give peak performance. Thanks to all that respond.

just the longblock for $800.00 or the complete swap? Do a compression test if all the cylinders are the same you should be fine
