Default hit a little snag

alright, so i mounted the mani and the turbo last night to see how it would fit, and theres a lil ****ing bracket in the way. now should i take it off or grind it down, the tubo fits, but the downpipe will have no room. any suggestions. and losing the internal wastegate is not an option, so dont go there.

grind it down to fit, read about how people took that bracket off and had problems with their alternator belt that kept snapping

Yeah I'd say grind it down. I'm really not sure why they used that much metal in the first place. I mean that's friggin steel. It could be half that size and still work.

(i think...)

the section you highlighted in red....cut it off...take the peice off, and the area selected just torch it...there is more than enough material holding the alternator on without said bolt.

edit: or just fab up your own bracket that doesnt conflict with your down pipe. I :dunno: if that is an option, if you have the tools/skills/etc but that is what I would prob do
