Default 95 civic ex questions

I just got a 95 civic ex and i am wantin to do mods. I mostly just care about having a plain JDM look but i want it t be decently fast. I just got away from DSM and dont know alot about honda. how can i get in the 14's possibly in the 13's? i was thinking about getting the edelbrock turbo kit but i dont know how far that would get me. Do i need to do an engine swap and then turbo? Please let me know some info on this

You probly have the same motor that i used to have D16z6

which is a very good motor to work with. & that Edelbrock turbo kit would definatly get you into the 14 range, granted you can drive. You definatly on the right track if your thinking turbo. If you want much more than 8lbs of boost or 14's , then your going to need to do some internal work on the motor.

a boosted Z6 with a good tune via Hondata (or Uberdata for the DIY fan) should get you into the 14s. But low 14 to 13's will either require an engine swap or internal build up on the SOHC.

gutting the car will help also, but I'm not sure if you want to go that far.
