i want to bore out a b18a after i get this tranny swap done. i am going to turbo it this summer, and find some vtec heads for it. anyways, how much should i get it bored, and where do i get new pistons? thanx

with stock sleeves you can only bore it out .25 or so before the cylinder walls get too thin. any bigger than that and you have to resleeve. for f/i 84mm is safe and pretty much the norm.

85 is fairly common as well, but I wanted to be sure that I didn't have any overheating issues so I went 84. You can get aftermarket pistons from most afermarket distrubutors (importparts.com, wiredspeed.com, summitracing.com, etc.)

Some of the more common pistons are JE, Arias, CP, SRP, ROSS...

good point. it leaves you room for an overbore if necessary.
