hello chimchim, I'm an old %^*^*^^9#$#$^!!!!!!! HaHa. I have an "O" 1991 std hatch. 190k++ Yeah it eats oil but it is a spunky 'lil hard puller. Am I ready to give it up? NAW. I'm building an LS/Vtec to swap. The swap completion date is set no-later-than Turkey Day 2005.
Why so long? My prime objective is to be debt-free upon completion. Each move I make from now on will be $750 or higher. So I save and study the next move - looking for good moves.
I am using a B18C1 cylinder head. It is being machined right now. I am having a 3 angle valve seat job. Chamber hard lines removed and seats unshrouded. The port "bowls" are being worked. I do not believe in "hogging" out the port channels. Most all volumn effectiveness is acheived at the valve seat and chamber in the B18C1.
I did extensive work to the B18C1 intake manifold. I do not know what it would cost to complete my personal grinding/polishing (many hours). There were 2 machine shop functions performed. The throttle body was increased to 67mm opening down to a 65mm butterfly and matched to the intake chamber($150.00 shipped). The B18C1 intake manifold has secondary butterflies which open at high RPMs to provide "short fat air". I had a machine shop increase each butterfly diameter by 4mm ($250.00 bored/new armature/ oversized butterflies/ shipped). I increased and shaped all runner openings according to my personal opinions about each runner.
So? HaHa. Most builders would just buy a "TYPE R" style intake manifold and be done with it. I guess I'm too hard headed. I like the idea of 2 air stream styles in one manifold. All the racers complain about the secondary butterflies, not me, I'll just "give 'em one of deese and one of dems and YYYRRRUUUUUMMMPPPPHH yeah, that outta do it!!!" HAhaHA....HA.
I'm having a blast with my hatch. I hope you are enjoying your ride.
Anybody else?

New 92 bought in 4/93. Started with about 80 miles on the odometer, now has 295,000 on the original motor-still doesn't burn a drop, never opened past the valve cover.
I've been maintaining this since day one- although after a few fender benders and wearing stuff out etc, most of the car is still the one I bought.
I just find it easier to replace the whole door (same color parts car) then to trouble shoot the power locks etc.

I still have mine had .8 miles on it when i bought it on February 16, 1999.
It has gone through alot of transformations, and today I have more fun driving it to and from my place of employment and school than I ever thought possible.
I am looking into a D series build up, but I am seriously looking at the money and thinking I like the fun I have with it now, so I will probably just keep it close to what it is at the present, unless something happens to the motor, then a build is in order.
There are a few more things I am going to do before I stop modding right now. I want to get my lip kit painted and mounted, p28 ecu, new fuel filter, timing belt and all other belts, and some basic maintenance...
She has 97XXX on her right now, looking to make 100 grand before April

I bought a '92 civic dx hatch green brand new in May of '92. It now has 378,000km or 236,250miles. It's leaking/burning oil. It's such a fun car to drive. Most drivers with newer cars think I can't keep up with them. I foil them most times.
