Default Problem with Alarm

My Prestige alarm has been working fine for the past few years, but since last week, the alarm stopped working, only the Keyless Entry works. the alarm siren doesn't ring at all, disarm, arm, even when I set the alarm off on purpose it doesn't sound

Is it a fuse or something that's the problem? or does this call for a new alarm.

Sounds like the brain is partially dead, you probably need a new alarm.....

I don't think it's in valet mode.. the alarm isn't all that great and doesn't have many functions

But one indicator that something's off is the alarm LED inside the car is on all the time, even when I lock the car, while driving, it's on at all times.

Warning?

valet mode.

its a pretty basic function. Chances are your alarm arms automatically after 30sec or so. The valet mode shuts this off so if you take your car to get worked on or something, the alarm isn't going off all the time.

put your key in the ignition, and turn it to on, but don't start the car. Then press the killswitch button for the alarm, and that should deactivate the valet mode.
