Default Old Exhaust Question

Alright.. We see a lot of ricey civic with bug tip mufflers making gay ass sound..

I am currently looking for something that will have a smooth & loud sound not ricey and not cheap

So I guess I have to go the cat-back way. But my question is are there chances that if I buy a cat-back system w/out header I could have the same gay and ricey sound?

I would not like to spend bucks on a cat-back if the muffler sounds the same

Don't tell me adding changing the muffler sux I KNOW IT and I know it doesnt help in any way for performance but I want a nicer sound something like an rsx type S or just a little louder than stock..

Whats ur opinion and any brand / product suggestion
thx all
Martin

if you get an Apexi World Sport cat-back exhaust it will sound deep and not ricey at all. they go for about 300-500 depending on who is selling them.

yea just try to find an exhaust that has a chambered muffler instead of straight through.

I have the Greddy Evo II on my car and it sounds good. The sound of exhaust gets old fast especially on the freeway while trying to have a conversation with someone. Luckily I have the turbo to quiet it down a bit.
