i was recently in an accident and i wrecked my front end (96 civic), so now i wanna do the 99 conversion. besides the hood, fenders, bumper, grill, and headlights, what what else do i need? do i need a 99 core support? if so, will it fit onto the 96 body with no problem? will my 96 radiator fit onto the 99 core support?
if you want to remove the rad support you're going to have to drill out a million spot welds. Once you get the spot welds off you can easily get it off and you would then grind the metal down so it's smooth so you can re-weld the new one.
Did it in 30 minutes, including rewelding the new rad support
hey Rico, did u have to do any cutting? also on the 6th pic down why does the headlight stick out? did this happen to you too?
Once you're at that point you'll have to do some adjusting. I think the picture just illustrated what it looked like when he slapped the bumper headlights on.
if the rad support thats in there now still workable then i'm not gonna take it off. where would the "adjusting" be needed? wheres that point you're talking about?

The "point" just meant when you get all the pieces on then you would adjust the headlights, fenders, hood and everything until it lines up. When you slap on a new front end it won't be a perfect fit until you adjust everything. There's a thread on honda-tech regarding this, I would highly suggest you check it out before doing any of this.
