Default So... went to change my clutch today and...

Found out that the disc was about shot (ACT SS) and the flywheel ring has been heat soaked like a mofo (clutchmasters) and has a nice little groove in it from the disc. And, to top it all off, my ACT XT pressure plate has a crack in the ring and is also heat soaked to a nice shine. I wouldn't be too upset about this except that I'm driving the car to AZ on Wed so now I get to call around to my vendors to see if anyone can next day me an ACT XTR6 clutch kit. Glad I took it apart now tough... haven't installed a scatter shield yet and that would not have been good.

maybe you should stop dumping the clutch when you're racing people at stoplights :fawk: that glazzed surface doesnt look too good. are you getting the clutch system and fly wheel?

I've already taken it to a machine shop and they can't resurface it because of the design. I had to get a new inner ring from CM so it's no big deal. It's made to be changed out.

I have an ACT XT pressure plate and the new flywheel ring on order. They will be here tomorrow.
