I just recieved my KYB AGX's today and when I looked at them I notcied that the front struts do not have bump stops but the rear do. So I am going to go to a Honda dealear to buy bump stops for the front. My question is, Should I use the rear bump stops provided or should I just buy rear ones while I am getting ones for the front?

 

I have 1/2 bump stops on all my struts.

 

I will be using H&R Race springs, I heard that if you cut the bumpstop it will lower the car another .25 inches. I dont want it any lower than it is suppsose to be. Are the bumpstops on KYB's as good as the factory ones?

 

Dude, your bump stops have NOTHING to do with how low the car is. They are there so your struts don't bottom out when you hit a really large bump.

 

I understand that but a couple of people said that is what the H&R instructions say. Here is what someone said: The H&R race springs have insturctions stating you can go a little lower if you cut the bump stops. DONT!! the drop will be too low and the ride will suck. you will go through shocks like panties. Uncut still looks nice and low.

I talked to the guy who sold me the springs: Robearracing and he said that I dont need to cut the bump stop. What should I do? Cut it or not?

 

Whoever you quote in these threads is a retard. Bump stops do not effect the height of the car. They effect the travel of the strut. If the supplier said not to cut them then don't.

 

Which will help the car bottom out less?
