planning to change stock rims, need assistance with size.
I have a hatchback civic and its stock with 14's. I want to keep the proper tire sizes for fuel economy but want to change the look of plastic hubs to nice rims to make the car look better. Do I keep the same size or go up a little? My main concern is fuel economy not performance. Also which spark plugs work best with the civics?

As for rims, I would say 15's would work well. If you don't want to worry so much about offsets, Honda has 15's available that should just bolt right up to your car.
If you have a 92+ Civic the right size for 14s are 185/65x14".
You can go up +1 size to a 15" wheel like a 15x7" with 205/50x15" or 195/55x15" tires.

well then if you dont want to add a bigger rim then just go for 99-00 Si or 2001~ EX rims. either those or go for the GSR blades or fat fives. sized 195/60/14 or 195/55/14
Edit: wait.....am i retarded or something or are the GSR rims and Si rims 15?

As long as you keep the overall diameter within specs you should be fine. WHenever you go up in size of a wheel say from 14 to 15 you go down in aspect sidewall height of the tire.
So 185/65x14" would be a 195/55x15", 16s would be 205/45x16"
You will get worse mpg if you go to a heavier rim, but the GSR and Si rims are lighter than I think than the steel wheels like 14s.

Fortunately for you, aftermarket wheels that promote fuel efficiency are generally also good for performance because they weigh less than stock. Less unsprung weight is your friend.
If you have a 5th-gen (like me) I would get 15" rotas because they are even lighter than the Si wheels (most of them) and they look fantastic (imho). If you have a 6th-gen civic then I would get either 15" or 16", but I'd probably still stick with 15".
To retain stock size on a 5th-gen with a 15" get a tire that is 195-50-15
To retain stock size on a 6th-gen with a 15" get a tire that is 195-55-15
If I've posted any incorrect info, someone please let me know.
P.S. I have 15x6.5 rota slipstreams and I love them. My tire size is 205-15-15.
