Oil Pressure question
Hey guys.. just curious if there is a wire that i can tap into for an oil pressure gauge or should i just go get an aftermarket oil pressure sending unit?

Have a steel braided line made (appx 1.5') with both male ends with the same threads as your OEM oil press. sending unit.
Run that steel braided line into the block, replacing the OEM sending unit.
On the other end of the line, put a "T" fitting with all female connections.
On one side, put the sending unit for your new gauge and on the other put the OEM sending unit. You may have to extend the wire for the OEM sending unit.
Put a loop in the steel line to absorb shock from the engine and then mount everything else to the body somewhere (I put it on my firewall).
That's it.

I don't have the instructions, i pulled it out of one of my other vehicles before i junked it. It's just an AutoMeter silver oil pressure gauge, nothing fancy. I don't have an aftermarket sending unit, & i don't think it requires one but back to the origional question. am i able to tap into an existing oem sending unit. through reading i'm guessing that one does exist, just not sure if i can tap into it without bothering anything else. this is starting to get frustrating.
