maaco sucks. I know a guy who got one of their paintjobs, and it went to shit in a month. Go figure.

here's an idea. if you want to know how much to spend, how about going to a paint shop and getting a FREE ESTIMATE. hell, you can even go to multiple shops and get multiple free estimates and figure out which would be your best bet. But thats just one of my half-baked concoctions

paint pricing varies by region and demand. Knowing someone on the inside helps a ton (paying for labor = t3h bitch)

Don't cheap out when it comes to painting your car. I mean, this is the look of your car here. Your paint job is the first thing people notice when they look at it. I agree with 18secFerio, knowing someone on the inside helps quite a bit. If you don't know anyone, ask people in your area who have had their car painted -- get their opinion on the place they went. If you can't do that -- grill the guys at the paint shop. Tell them you want a warranty for that shiz.
