Do you need anything else besides the remote for a 99 Civic? I want to get the keyless entry but I dont want to buy the remote and have the same problem as this guy.

Been there....done that (and got the t-shirt) with those instructions. I've done those exactly. When I get to the time where the locks are supposed to start cycling....they don't (that would be step 11).

WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Anybody wanna buy some remotes?

was looking over the instructions from H and A accessories and my service manual, the H and A instructions say to turn the key to off which is the (I) position, but in the service manual simply just says off which im guessing is the (0) position. so maybe try the HandA instruction but turn it off to 0 when it says off instead of I position

here's one from out of the blue, did you check the batteries in the remotes? maybe they're dead or weak.

Here's one to ponder...... I've seen all over Ebay that the FCC id number on the remote has something to do with whether or not it will work with a particular model. I called a Honda dealership and was told that was bull. I'm beginning to wonder...... But then again, when you buy a remote from say KeylessRide they don't need the fcc id number. Who to believe???

Sorry about the blue

Since I'm female, I won't take the :ghey: personally

Rock on

i never believe the parts people at honda most of them only know the parts and not the tech stuff 9/10 times they're wrong. i think it might be the fcc id numbers may have something to do with it. maybe you need some remotes from a 99-00? :dunno:
