Yeah, because a 12 second D-series is SO cheap and easy.

Back to the original question: turbocharge. You won't notice a significant difference until you get the basic intake/header/exhaust done and add a reground camshaft on top of it.

I love the way everyone jumps on the turbo wagon when as a whole most of the people on this board will never go turbo. We all know turbo is the easiest way to get power out of a honda but it's not the only way to go fast. people are so afraid of NOS even though it's the best bang for the buck. Just my opinion.
Building an NA 12sec D-series.. Yes, it can be done, but if you weigh out the best cost effective way to produce power. Going turbo is going to be a much cheeper way to reach power goals. I've seen the price tag on my buddies NA D-series motor & it's way more expencive than i would want to spend if i were doin a D. & in the end he wishes that he would have just went turbo.. soo...
