Do you have a timing gun? If not, get one.

EGR doesn't affect engine performance at all. It only works when you're coasting.

reason for wanting to adjust it?

to answer your question, loosen your distributor bolts & give 'er a lil but of a turn. or if you have an adjustable cam gear you can work with that. i would suggest a timing light or something tho... mark origional settings incase u mess it up .. u'll be able to put it back easily.. hope that helps.

ps.. i'd have someone experienced help u if u don't know what u'r doing.

WTF? Cam gear doesn't adjust ignition timing... it adjusts cam timing...

I believe if you read a little closer. he was asking about Timing in general. He never stated "ignition timing".

Bump, cause I need info on ignition timing. I need to set mine to 10 degrees BTDC, when I install my supercharger. I know I need a timing light, but how do you measure the degrees? I know there are marks on the crank pulley for timing adjustments. Is that what I'll be look at with the light?
