Default 92 Civic hatch, modded, at silent salvage auction, what should I bid? *pics*

Alrighty there is an auction that ends tomorrow at the salvage yard and there is this 92 Civic CX that looks like its been modded pretty heavily (potentially). Im trying to figure out what to bid on it. The stickers on the rear window "13.1 @ 103" Im not sure if thats real of rice but from the way the front is lower than the back, it kinda looks like an h22 swap with some mods since 13.1 would be a common time for a modded h22 stripped hatch. The way that the interior is stripped and guages on the dash are make me think that it has some sort of swap. It also looks like V-AFC on the dash, might be an S-AFC but I can't tell from that angle. Anyway here are the pics and lemme know what you think I should bid on it. I know the engine is unknown since I could not go check it out (work) but please gimme something to work with. Thanks!

well i can tell you its definetely not a H22 in there. the shifter gives that away. if it had a h22 it would have 2 big holes cut in the frame, the big h22 shifter thing mounted on there, and cables coming thru.

if he's really running low 13s at that speed, and he's really 'all mota' i'd probably venture to guess that its a built b series. maybe b20/ls vtec? all i can really tell ya is that its definetely not a h (or k :chuckles: ) series in there.

what kinda moron plasters their time on the back of their car? what fun is that? no element of suprise there, unless he's actually running a lot faster (or a lot slower) than that.

no worries. the photographer obviously has his/her priorities straight. they got a great shot of the basketball in the trunk! very important when considering a purchase. :chuckles:

well regardless, theres $1000 worth of parts to sell sitting there, if u have some cash to toss around, i'd go for it, it's not like u couldn't find someone to buy the wheels & tires for 300 / vafc for 200 / panels are in good shape, doors windows ect. soemone would buy the body, doesn't seem like much is wrong with it. would probly be worth it if u could get it cheep.

Pop the hood before you bid. And if someone else has to pop it for you, just tell them to look for "DOHC VTEC" heh
