You were looking at the entire car right? A 2000 Si will probably run you about 12-14K no matter where you look.

Or you could just swap the Si's engine into your CRX...it'll be lighter and faster h:

The Del Sol VTEC was another DOHC VTEC civic.
Fastest DOHC VTEC Civic was probably the CRX SiR not sold in the U.S., but it is pretty close between the CRX, EG SiRII and the EK Type-R. I could be wrong.

I did'nt plan on spending that much for a civic.
It's not, the 91 CRX Si is heavier than a 92 Civic CX or VX. The only Civics with DOHC VTEC motors in the U.S. are the Del Sol VTEC, 99-00 Civic Si, and the 02-05 Civic Si (DOHC i-VTEC). If you want a good running motor, I highly reccommend www.hmotorsonline.com You can find various B-Series motors from them. Keep in mind you have a CRX Si, which makes swaps a tad bit more difficult than the 92-00 Civics.

motor wise the EK Type-R with the B16B engines were the fastest due to a bit higher compression, creating 15-20hp more then the SiR B's.

Also, it was mated with a Type-R tranny , with a different final drive and gearing, which also added quite abit speed wise, im sure.
