door handle removal (last thread is fubar)
Ok, seems like the last thread I made didn't work out too well, so anyways...
I am trying to remove my door handles because they aquired an annyoing rattle when I amped my door speakers. I tried to sound deaden my doors but the rattle is still there, and I am having some trouble removing them. Anyone have a solution?

I have a rattle too, I am unable to fix it and Ive had the entire door apart
To remove the handle (outter) you need to remove the inner panel and remove 2 bolts holding it from the inside. You will also need to disconnect the linkage from it - I found it easier and cheaper to just count the threads when I removed it. If you cut the clip, as many manuals suggest, you need to buy a new one (duh)
I think its pretty self explanatory, but it will not necessarily fix your rattles...mine are in the window unit

Well actually the linkage and the bolts are not giving me a problem, but it seems like the door locking mechanism is giving me problems... it looks like I somehow need to separate the lock assembly from the door handle but I don't see how to.
