Default will a stock usdm d15b7 tranny work with a JDM d15b vtec motor?

in short, I doubt my stock usdm motor will run again, unless the labor costs to repair it are less than that of a new motor. So I want to find out if the jdm vtec version will work in the same car.

95 Civic DX d15b7 motor

I read on the description that I can use the same harness, but I'll need an ECU that can handle it. But it didn't say anything about the tranny or other parts.
