i just bought a 99 civic hX. I was looking at new headers and fun stuff like that. None of the things say hX, would EX be the same thing?

One thing I usually tell people when they have a question about exhausts, is if you're taking to a muffler place to get it installed, they will find a way to make it work... But of course they aren't always fair on prices.

first off header. and before you spend money to upgrade an HX, you might wanna look into a different motor. The HX is meant for econo, the engine produces a lean burn which results in less power but higher burning efficiency. To each his own though, this is just my opinion.

yeah i agree with NeverBX, the HX motor is crapola. but if u are going to get headers the the HX then i think all u need to make sure of is that they're SOHC headers

you would also need an exhaust from an EX and a cat also. you cant just swap a header and expect the HX exhaust to fit, you have to get an EX exhaust. you will also probebly need to lengthen the oxygen sensor too.

Ya might want to see what the peeps on Honda-Tech are doing with the HX... some claim it's a better motor than the Y8...
