:werd: no new motor mounts are necessary unless they are fawked up now..and im assuming your going to get a b16a2 you just need to change the wiring to OBD2.

I've always used the mounts that came with the motor, be it B16 or B18.

not sure, just keep in mind that aftermarket parts don't add to the resale value of your vehicle. the rims might a little, but probably not. and a lot of times, people won't want to buy a car that looks like a space ship

Seriously man stop talkin' out of your ass.

i'm not sure on the b16's, but the b18c1 driver side mount (by the cam gears) is different from the D series motors. The tranny side mount may also be different not positive.

The stabilizer mounts on the D series are also different I believe.

If I remember correctly. The stabilizer mount for the d series uses 2 bolts to connect to the tranny, and 2 bolts to connect to the frame.

For the B series, it uses 3 bolts to bolt to the tranny, and 2 bolts to the frame.

If you wanna keep air conditioning you'll need a b16 ac mount, and for power steering you'll need an integra power steering pump... I believe....

The t bracket on the rear mount may also vary.

Point in short, yeah you need the motor mounts from the b series.

Also you don't change the wiring to obd2. If your motor happens to be obd2, than you get an obd1 ecu for that type of motor. You don't change it over to odd2.

my bad...thats what i inturpreted from reading off here..anyhow...when you mean dont change it to OBD2...you dont want to change b/c of what? do you mean to get a wire harness and plug it into a OBD1 ecu?

I gues technically you don't change the mounts, you change the brackets.
