My maintanence required light came on around 72K and I need to know the procedure on how to reset it. I do all my own maintanence and last had the light reset when my multiswitch box got fried and the dealer fixed it under warranty.

Also, can anyone tell me why this light comes on at odd intervals(random mileage, 20K, 54K, 72K). Just to get the old lady back to the dealer so they can tell her she needs a 500 dollar oil change and tire rotation?

 

i am pretty sure that you are going to press the button down and hold it. Turn the key to acc on(not starting, one b4 it, when the dash lights come on) and hold it until it blinks 3-5 times. Then it'll go away. Usually that is the oil change reminder light, but could possibly be set up for other serivice intervaals.
