seriously and i like how that guy mentioned a grounding kit as an effective way to get some horsepower lol. right. tru grounding kits are helpful in smoothing out throttle responce and a few minor other things but gaining u horsepower...lol anyways.

enjoy the civic, join as many forums as u can and do all your own research. do all your installs yourself, that way you learn how everything works and wont get scammed by install prices.

They're great if you love blow-through carburators, expensive custom manifolds, and panhard bars...

You won't gain any power from a grounding kit, only make back the power lost by crappy original connections. It's a band-aid fix.

A cam gear that is pointless on a stock cam, isn't too effective thanks to it being a single cam, and requires a dyno session to tune... sure, cheap.

almost true, usually the only difference between an auto and manual CAI are the mounting points. On the newer versions some mount on the trans, therefore 2 different lower pieces were made to accomodate both manual and auto transmissions.

and yes, silverstars.

I have and have always just removed any resonation chamber junk and just ran a K&N drop in. I have this done in my Max, MY Protege, my CRX, and my civic (pre boost). The power gains are minimal but sound is what is important . Also I would rather clean a filter than have to go spend $8.00 on a new one. My cousin spent a shit load on his V2 for his EVO and I barely feel a difference. But then again he loves to blow money so..... If you barely feel a difference on a blown car then what the hell makes you think you will feel a difference on a NA car. The best bang for my buck to date (except the snail) has been the P&P done by force10.

just get a short ram air intake.. its actually better in the new civic than a CAI (idk why but they are from what K&N and AEM say)... plus a short ram air wont get clogged as easily since it in the engine compartment not below it... and if your from cali or new york make sure the intake has a CARB exempt sticker or it wont pass an emission inspection and you might get a ticket from a cop

Be careful, on some cars (like my MX-6) there is a special resonator between the airbox and TB designed to help the engine's torque output. Civics and Integras don't have those kinds of resonators though.

(The MX-6 also has a typical sound deadening resonator before the airbox which I of course removed. )
