Default Big install day for me.... UPDATE 12-21-04, PICS!

Going on the 97 DX hatch....

EX front brakes, axles and transmission
EX front sway bar
GS-R rear sway bar
Tein S. Tech springs

This will be my first suspension work on a car I own. Other than strut bars on the turbo coupe, anyway. I'll post before and after pics on the drop and brakes, so you can all see the puny DX brakes.

The EX tranny will definitely make the biggest difference in performance, the ratios in the DX are too hella tall for no power. The new tranny is a D16Z6 tranny with like 220k mi on it, so def. getting some synchromesh.

I got it for free and have 3 DX trannies sitting around.

Before and after shots of ride height:

Cool. Honestly though I didn't realize the DX would have lesser brakes. That just........
Anyway. Yeah I guess the Z6's tranny will be better, only if you're doing that why not try a engine and tranny. I know you got the tranny for free, so I mean go for it, but I just wanted to ask that.
It should be doable in a day. Just don't take too many breaks.

The DX has 9.something inch rotors, the EX has 10.2" rotors and much better calipers. I do have the D16Y8 head, intake manifold, and exhaust manifold waiting to go onto the Y7 block, which will yield much higher compression and better power than a D16Y8 engine would. And I got all that free too.

Ok, problem... What sway bars fit on EK hatches, and which rear LCAs do I need? The GS-R sway doesn't seem to line up with the holes in the lcas...
