Default power windows falling off track

anyone know how to fix this? everytime i put the windows down about half way, they just fall down. the front of the window comes out of the slot its supposed to be in. is there some kind of clips that are supposed to be on the front of the window to hold it into that track? ive only had the door panel off once to put the window back in, but tomorrow i will take a look at it again. just wanted to know what i should be looking for before i get into it.

Happened to my friend. He's 16 and never worked on any cars...he called me up to borrow my Haynes manual (get it at autozone for 15 bucks) and took off the panel and did it himself...just DIY, not that hard...I don't know specifics, but just get a manual and save yourself lots of time and $$

the rail that its falls off is directly behind the door speaker. think there's like a 8mm bolt that holds it in place. just loosen that up, roll the window up as much as possible, position the rail and guide it back onto the track. use some wd-40 and basically force it back in. tighten up the bolt and ur good to go.

ya, i got it back in the track, but that bolt is stripped or something. not tightening all the way. it gets about half way and just keeps turning not tightening anymore. if i can get that bolt to tighten, will that solve my problem? or is there still something to do with the rail on the bottom of the window?

ok i went at it again. i noticed there was only 2 of the 4 bolts that hold the regulator in so i adjusted it and put the other bolts in. got a nut and put it on the end of the bolt holding the front guide in place, put the window up and it worked. i put it back down, and the windows falls out of the guide again. back to square one. i put everything back together, but it is too dark to mess with it anymore tonight.

if they have it in stock, it should only take about 15 minutes. All together everything was 70 dollars. I'm not sure how much the regulator cost by itself.
