Default question for 92-95 civic guys

what color does your stock (USDM) clock light up? is it white? if it is, is it like a pure LED/fluorescent white, or like a yellow-ish incandescent light bulb kind of white?

i drive an accord, and am looking for a white color clock to swap into my car (i'm trying to replace all the nasty green interior lighting with white). i've heard of someone switching their accord clock out with a civic clock, but i wanted to make sure what the color was first.. i don't know anyone with a 92-95 civic

2nd gen integras have the type of white clock i want, but the configuration of the clock won't fit the accord - the button is off to the side instead of below the numbers.

thanks!

oh, also, anyone know which model(s) these clock comes from? they look similar, but i'm not sure if the second one will fit in the accord. i'm pretty sure the first one will (maybe with some modifications)

Yeah EG, EJ, and EK Civic clocks look different. You might be able to make em work, but I don't think it would be a really easy install.

the first picture looks identical to the accord clock. the second one is pretty different. but i think i can make it work - i'm willing to bet that the circuitry is all the same inside. what's most important is the color of the lighting.

The bottom one (#2) is the 92-95 civic clock. The USDM clocks light up white, the JDM clocks light up amber. The white on mine doesn't seem to have any other tint to it, other than white.

is the white light color like a superwhite/HID white, or more like a regular halogen headlight color? the difference may be subtle in the clock lighting, but it's important in my opinion

thanks for the reply!

Check ebay. And you'll see the difference in those and an actual EJ clock. I know cause I put it there.
