Default My Turbo questions, Ongoing questions

Need a blow off valve, will this fit? are they pretty much universal?

And what does the top niple thingie connect to?
Is the BOV where you adjust the boost?

yes, if it comes with mounting flanges, all you have to do is weld those flanges onto one of your charge pipes. that nipple on top then connects to a vacuum line.

you weld one of those flanges to your charge pipe, depending if you have aluminum or steel piping.

the flanges that mount each BOV are not universal, so you would need a different flange for each type of BOV...
BOVs can also be adjusted for pressure release

well, after i got my turbo, i found out that there was a BOV in the box and its the exact same one in the above pic

now i need to know, since this kit did not come with a oil inlet flange, which do i need? the only thing i am lost on is that -3an -4an thingie. I did see on an auction that -4an is bigger and could possibly cause turbo damage since its "high flow" but the inlet hole on the turbo is the same size as the bolt holes (like ¼ inch)

you dont want anything really bigger than 3/8" for the oil feed. more volume + higher pressure will blow your seals. stick to 3/8 line for your oil feed, and a -10an size for your oil return line.

this is a nice kit everything you need.

so the higher the negative number the bigger? so if i want the smaller of the two (-3 -4) i would go with the -3 right?

I already have the hoses and splitters for the oil feed line. just need that flange to screw the hose onto.

can someone show me a picture of which vacum line will need to go to the BOV and wastegate? I have no idea where these are.

how many vacum lines are under the hood that are accessible? are they all the same?

Please post any info you have that will help me understand vacum lines on a d16
