Default A few questions

What year did they go to odb2 on the civic?

I'm looking at getting a 98 civic hx 2 door 5 speed with vtec and I was wondering how much work it would be to swap in a gsr (obd1 or obd2) depending on when they went to obd2 in the civic.

OBD 2 started in 1996, If you put an OBD1 GSR engine all you would need to do is get a OBD 2 to OBD1 conversion harness. I dont think that the HX civic is vtec

rewire it huh? is it simple? and exactly what would I need to do to rewire it? and dose $4,000 seem like an ok price for a 98? The car was previously totaled but has been completely rebuilt its sitting at a local car lot. and if it runs and drives straight at the 1st of the year it will be mine.
