Default Just got a 92 HB

Just picked up a 92 HB with a B20B complete motor B18B1 Intake mani, GSR tranny, GSR ECU. After about 7500RPM you can hear something kinda sound like
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhkkkkkkkkkkkkk in the engine bay. The guy who we bought the car from said it's the valves on the stock B20B motor that they could not handle the rpms. Do you think that is the noise? Thanks for the help anything will help. Will try to post pics of the car asap. It's my cusins ride.

you're revving a stock valve train out to 7500? that's your problem. You're lucky you haven't floated a valve straight into a piston.

i wouldnt rev those things past about 6800rpms because the heads on those things are shit, my friend with his prelude is about to rebuild his head for a second time.

its not the head. the head is identical to the b18b1 head. so your valvetrain is factory capable of 7100rpm, however your piston speed at 7500 is way to much for the b20 bottom end. I mean honda puts the rev limiter on b20b's at 5200 for a reason.

definately not at 5200, i took my friends stock prelude to 6500 and the rev limiter is around 7100-7200.
