Default Problem

My mileage isn't counting up properly. I kept getting like 11 miles to the gallon when I usually get about 22-24 around town in my 94 civic lx. The mileage isn't going up, and sometimes it stops for a while. Do you think it is a sensor or just a wire problem or what? How much would it cost to get it fixed?

Thanks

The overall speedometer mileage counter or like the trip one? Are you actually losing gas milage?

I think you might have to replace the cluster.

high traffic area or low traffic cuz i wish i get 22-24 mpg. But then again i live in the bronx and where i am its mostly surrounded by lights

maybe im wrong tho, i might have to get the car tuned up, etc to get better milage.

sounds like either a bad wire, bad VSS or bad cluster.

that mileage is way low for an LX. I have a 95 LX and I drive the snot out of this car. Redline constantly, air conditioning, etc...and on my worst day I get 30.

A new cluster will take care of that problem

dont change the cluster... drive and save mileage so your car wont get high mileage when you sell it
