Default 96-98 4DR Taillight to 99-00 4DR Taillight?

I currently own a 96 Civic Sedan. I really don't like those taillight that comes with it. Is it possible to do a conversion to 99-00 taillight?

Interesting question. I wonder if the outer tails are interchangeable and you could swap the trunk to accomodate the inner lights.

Is there somebody that you know that has a 99-00 sedan that you could borrow the tails from so you could find out? I don't think that there is anyone here that has tried this.

I know the inner taillight are different because the trunklid are different. But what happen if I change the trunklid to 99-00? It should work right?

id say the trunk lid will def fit and then also swap the outer lights..

It seems to me honda just made the actual trunk lid differant and put in longer lights. the pattern is just differant in outer ones but i doubt very much they changed the actual chassis of the car.

Personally the older of the two i prefer!!
